什么是輻射方向圖中的broadside方向

看英文資料上說，“輻射方向圖在broadside方向”， 
想請高手指點(diǎn)一下是什么方向？是不是PHI=0的方向？謝謝

In many applications it is desirable to have the maximum radiation of an array directed normal to the axis of the array.(Broadside; theta=90 degree) 
翻譯：在許多應(yīng)用中，陣列的最大輻射方向需要指向和陣列的軸線垂直的方向（即寬邊方向，例如陣列沿z軸排列時的theta=90度方向）。 
出處：Balanis《Antenna Theory: Analysis and Design》, pp. 216 
補(bǔ)充：與Broadside相對應(yīng)的就是端射End-fire，也就是沿著陣列的軸的方向（Along the axis of the array）。

我看的矩形微帶天線中說，當(dāng)它工作在主模TM10和三階模式Y(jié)M30時，輻射方向圖都在broadside方向。能不能請再指點(diǎn)一下這是哪個方向�。恐x謝！

應(yīng)該就是垂直于貼片的方向。
