關于ADS中函數(shù)unwrap(),不懂它的用途

ADS中有函數(shù)unwrap函數(shù)應該怎么解釋，它有個幫助文檔，但是沒有看懂，哪位大哥大姐有誰能夠通俗的解釋一下！最好能舉個例子。謝謝了~~！

    unwrap is usually use on the phase of S-parameters. Say if you measure a transmission line over frequency, the phase of S21 goes from 0 to +180, then jumps to -180 and goes to +180, etc. If you use unwrap, the phase of S21 will goes from 0 to 360 and up.

    why they want to unwrap the phase？ probably to calculate the group delay. If there is a jump in phase, then the group delay will jump everytime it switches from +180 to -180.
